my 43% shooting team from three point land went 2-14 versus -5, did you overcorrect maybe?, if -5 starts working again, you will have some real frustration, it probably was the most controversial glitch in the game 3-4 years ago, please take a look?
Sargent was set at distribution 1 while everyone else was at zero. I think that in the old engine every play would have been ran for him when he was in the game, here he only took 8 total.
Combined 11-40 from 3 where both teams played a 0 FCP. Syracuse in particular went 4-21. Just to keep track in the Tark BE since the tweak was mde in 7 of the 10 games the teams combined to shoot 30%. The game oldresorter posted the teams combined to shoot 6-26.
However oddly enough I had a D3 game where I shot 7-10 from 3 on the road and my opponent shot 15-29 vs. a +1 FCP. So I don't know what to think.
Axeme, there is no question that Boeheim was a great coach, and there have been many like him in the college game.
When college teams schedule games, frequently the teams agree to play, at least, two games with each other; one season home and the next away. In RL, these 'rivalries' have perils as teams go up and down in quality as they do in HD.
I am not suggesting that we force coaches to schedule two games, but my point is to show that trying to transfer RL to the simulation we are playing is not always practical.
Another sticking point with me is that coaches move on in HD sometimes leaving a SIM/AI. There are a lot of perils in playing these teams, and I have felt we should be allowed a brief period to reschedule those games should a coach leave and no one take them over.

Looks like the old engine again. -5/slow down and you can't score. Failed to score over 40 points. I thought the new engine fixed that.
Not a specific game issue but overall deviation on games. Seems as if there are much fewer close games. Some of these games should have been blowouts but to have played 17 games and not one be in single digits, win or lose, seems weird to me. Part of the PBP I loved was when you had 2 even teams in the old engine, it would usually come down to the last 3-5 minutes. Now, I know who is going to win every game just into the 2nd half.
I have now played over 60 games on various teams with the new engine. Of those games, 3 times we were leading at the half and ended up losing the game and 3 times were were losing at the half and ended up winning. All of the other games were determined by the half whether it be a win, or a loss.
The majority of those games were not close in the scoring.
Kraljmeister, your example could be alarming, but the following are questions I would have you ask yourself.
8 TO in 22 minutes is a lot, but you do not make mention of the player's IQ level, what kind of DEF he was facing, the tempo your OFF used, the player positional match up, and you do not 'seem' to be taking into consideration his low BH.
The fact your team had so many fouls is difficult to understand. Again, what DEF positioning did you use? It could have been pushed out too far, or sagged too much to get similar results; albeit rare ones.
i think at this point the engine is working pretty reasonably. to me, the biggest factor going forward is stability, i don't think anything is so far off an immediate adjustment is needed. maybe in a few months when there is more data a couple small tweaks would be in order, but i think allowing some time for everybody (including seble) to establish a base line would be a good thing. we are still all working off small sample sizes, and haven't seen the new type players enter the scene.
I understand your point, but I honestly feel like there are 2-3 aspects that are working really, really poorly. I think the sample size they have over all divisions and all worlds is definitely large enough at this point, and I'd rather get the growing pains out of the way now.
There are still way too many extreme results. Here's the home-and-home that just happened with UNC-Miami in Allen, going from a 25-pt win for one team to a 37-pt win for the other. That's right -- a 62-pt swing.
In the second game above, had a +1 defense, opponent went 5-13 from 3p in the first half (13 of 27 shots coming from 3pt range), and it actually "auto-corrected" from +1 to 0 for the second half?!?!

In the old engine, I used the auto correct and thought it worked pretty well, maybe got it right 4 out of 5, in the new engine, I stopped using it, seble, I would consider checking the formula vs the old engine's?????

i definitely see where you are coming from. there are definitely still adjustments to be made. i just am having a hard time making sense of it all because every team, every player has skewed stats from various flavors of the engine, etc... its just making it hard for me to pin down exactly what seems out of whack.
i know there are too many extreme results, but that is way too vague to act on. i do think fouls remain out of whack, especially for games between two top tier teams, which could certainly contribute to extreme results/swings - as key players get in foul trouble, it makes a huge impact, losing a player with 2 fouls 5 minutes in can be a 5 point swing easy just on that 1 thing, and it seems to be happening all the time.
