We are revolutionizing fantasy sports with the introduction of SimLeague Hockey. Do you have what it takes to lead a team to the Stanley Cup? How It Works... You're in command of a professional hockey team of not only current NHL players - but former NHL players too. Your league will have a salary cap under which you must to draft 23 players (the cap varies by league). Want to spend your money on the scoring game? How about Gretzky and Hull on the same line? How about a defense of Bobby Orr and Denis Potvin with Bernie Parent in the net? Like to fight? How about a pair of Marty McSorley and Dave Schultz? You put together your team in your style and then put it to the test! And not only do you play the role of the General Manager, but you also play the head coach! You are responsible for setting your complete coaching strategies. Which line to use in a given situation? Which goalie for game 7? Focus on checking or tight defense? What about going with a hard hitting line to rough up your opponent's star scorer? And on offense, you'll need to choose your strikers, default offensive formations and even deal with injuries and fatigue. You get to make all the decisions in our fantasy hockey simulation! Schedule... Once you have drafted your team, you'll be placed in a sim league with 23 other teams. The league schedule information will then be e-mailed to you and the other owners in your league. All teams in your league will play an 82 game schedule -- 2 games per day. The top 8 teams from each conference will advance into the playoffs. Teams in the 'Exhibition' leagues also play 2 games per day. Updated boxscores, league standings, and league leaders are available immediately after each game is played. |
